Dogs love pulling things,fetching balls,stealing handkerchiefs and generally having fun.
To avoid handkerchiefs with holes (I have lots !) get your Spaniel some toys to play with .
I would suggest a couple of balls, a ragger and a puller with a handle at both ends but your choice is up to you.
You should avoid letting the Spaniel win EVERY time as he or she may take that as a sign of weakness and attempt to dominate you.
Throwing a ball and giving a treat only when it is returned to you is a favourite game because the Spaniel gets more out of it.
