One of the most tragic things that can happen with your spaniel is that it can run into traffic and be hit in an accident.

 

You can prevent this easily and at moderate cost.

 

An electric wire around your garden gives a mild sting to the dog when it gets to close to the wire  - through a special collar and the dog keeps well clear of the wire very quickly.The wire is laid in the area you wish to confine your spaniel inside.

 

It is a sensible precaution especially if you are a breeder and need to keep control of several spaniels
